Create a precise Shopify-to-PayPal carrier rule
Courier Mapping is for a Shopify carrier string that does not resolve to the correct carrier value accepted by PayPal. It is a paid feature and applies only while Map by courier name is On.
Step 1: capture the source text
Open the affected Shopify fulfillment.
Copy the carrier name exactly as Shopify stores it, including spaces, punctuation, and capitalization.
Do not create a rule if PalSync already resolves that text correctly.
Step 2: open the rule form
Open PalSync Settings.
Scroll to Courier Mapping.
Confirm Map by courier name is On.
Select Add new rule.
Step 3: complete all four fields
Original carrier: paste the exact case-sensitive Shopify text. Maximum 255 characters.
Destination country: select the country where this mapping applies. Choose Global only when the same mapping is correct for all destinations.
PayPal carrier: select from the catalog enabled for that destination. Do not invent a carrier code.
Reference note: explain why the rule exists so another operator can audit it. Maximum 255 characters.
Select Save.
Validation behavior
All four fields are required.
PayPal carrier choices depend on the selected destination country.
A second rule with the same exact Original carrier is rejected.
If the PayPal catalog is unavailable, wait for it to reload; do not guess.
Edit or delete
Open the row's three-dot menu. Edit reopens the same validated fields. Delete rule removes only that store-owned rule. After a change, run one affected order and verify the PayPal carrier outcome before changing additional rules.
